Wellbeing Journaling Courses

An evidence based practice

My unique journaling courses offer a gentle and effective way to promote mindfulness, reduce stress, and enhance self-awareness. I provide a safe and nurturing space for individuals to connect with themselves and each other. Courses are facilitated for the general public, community wellbeing organisations, and workplaces.

A Holistic Approach to Journaling for Everyone.

My courses go beyond traditional journaling, integrating the power of classical music, poetry, guided visualisations, and mindfulness teachings.

I create a safe and nurturing environment where participants feel heard, valued, and connected.

My approach is gentle and accessible, suitable for all levels of experience.

I have many years of experience facilitating courses throughout Northern Ireland and the UK for a wide range of groups, including those with illness, recovery colleges, wellbeing organisations, mental health charities and within workplaces.

Each session was engaging and informative and I always felt that when I came away from each session I had learned something new. Thank you Belinda for co-facilitating at the Recovery College, we are really blessed to have such a passionate Journaling facilitator on-board with us.

Belinda facilitated her ‘Joys of Journaling’ course over 6 sessions for Causeway Rural & Urban Network as part of the Spring Social Prescribing Programme and the classes took place online.

This was the first time we have ever offered ‘journaling’ to our clients and the feedback has been extremely positive in terms of offering a fresh approach to dealing with stress and anxiety.

The Art of Positive Journaling

Drawing from studies on positive psychology and the benefits of writing, this course guides participants on a creative journey to discover and learn how writing about positive topics, such as gratitude, joy, and hope, can help us experience more of these positive emotions in daily life.

Provides participants with tools for reframing negative thoughts and fostering a positive mindset.

Encourages an inner journey to shift perspective when life feels too much.

Positive journaling for wellbeing
We have asked Belinda to deliver a number of four week journaling courses for us in recent times. Our participants (men and women) found the experience very cathartic and relaxing. The atmosphere Belinda creates in each session is very calm and welcoming, people are put at their ease. There is a natural connection between participants after a week or two, though never any pressure to share what’s written, but mostly people choose to – whether a poem or a thought. It’s a creative outlet, which has moments of laughter and also time for reflection. A chance to quieten the busy-ness of day to day life and focus on thoughts and ideas through writing. We would whole heartedly recommend this experience.

Calm The Overthinking Mind

Designed to help those who are experiencing anxiety, stress and overwhelm.

Includes specific journaling prompts, guided visualizations, and mindfulness teachings in combination with the use of classical music and poems to add creativity to the process.

Creates a nurturing and safe space in which participants can experience an increased sense of calm and inner peace.

Teaches journaling techniques that can be used to create an ongoing journaling practice that supports wellbeing.

The Calm the Overthinking Mind course brought what I’ve read about meditation and positive thinking to the next level – it provided me with real tools to implement the ideas in the real life. I’ve started really noticing my thoughts and thinking patterns and I am able to stop or redirect the not so helpful thoughts. I love the non-judgmental approach of Belinda. My work involves researching difficult topics (mass scale atrocities) and sometimes it feels very challenging to step away from it. I also work alone as a researcher, so I often play the same thoughts in my head over and over again. The course helped me be more mindful of the way I think. It is different from the forcefully positive and results-oriented literature on positive thinking. Combined with therapy, yoga, and healthy eating, I was able to overcome acute anxiety and come back to the normal self (anxiety still returns from time to time but I am less afraid of it). I now meditate daily for 15 minutes and keep a very short 5-minute journal. I cannot recommend the course enough!
